Abstract
Computational mechanics is now a key research area across engineering disciplines, prompting an active and steadily increasing research effort toward innovative and efficient computational techniques that enable new mechanical problems to be tackled with a higher level of reliability. The Italian Group of Computational Mechanics, GIMC, organizes this mini-symposium to foster discussions on advantages, drawbacks, new possibilities and applications of the forefront of Computational Mechanics.
