Abstract
Soft materials, such as biological tissues and polymer composites, exhibit outstanding mechanical properties that require appropriate modeling tools. The active response of these materials to external stimuli poses significant challenges, but recent advances in their modeling offer applications in tissue engineering, soft robotics and 3D printing. This mini-symposium will bring together researchers interested in the nonlinear mechanics of soft materials, both experimentally and theoretically.
