Abstract
The symposium presents recent advances in the analysis and design of slender structures undergoing geometrically nonlinear phenomena. Topics of discussion encompass mechanical models, numerical techniques, optimisation algorithms, experimental approaches and standard developments. Real case applications are welcomed, including trusses and frames, shells, domes, and towers made of steel, aluminium alloys, composites, or more traditional materials such as reinforced concrete, timber or masonry.
